A Nd:Yag laser based laser-heating system is used in this study.The laser is microfocused to heat the sample at approximately 30 degree from the normal direction to the sample.Thermal emission is collected by a chromatically corrected objective (x20) at about 15 degree from the vertical direction.A pin-hole is used to limit the field of view within 4 pm at the center of laser heated area and a single-core 200μm optical fiber is used to deliver thermal emission from the pinhole to a spectrometer coupled with a liquid nitrogen cooled CCD detector.The temperature is then determined by the fitting of thermal emission to a gray-body radiation equation.
