My Story of Learning English
In July 2002, my mother took me to Talenty to have the demo class. At that time I just knew ABC. In the first class, I played many games .The teacher made me happy so we decided to learning English here. I have learnt English for about three years and a half. During these years I have three teachers in Talenty. They are all excellent. Miss Shi is my first teacher. She brought me to the English World and made me feel learning English was easy and interesting just like playing. Miss Li is my second teacher. She is very beautiful. She is like our friend. Now Miss Wu is my English teacher. I remembered once I wanted to give up learning English. I thought it was very tired. She said ‘Believe yourself. Don’t give up. Then you will succeed!’ I remembered it in my heart. With the help of teachers and parents I became more and more confident. From then on, I always went to the English Corner and attended the English contest in Talenty and in my school. At first, I didn’t get the good result. However they told me where there is a will, there is a way. Then I tried my best to learn English. Now I always get the better result. My classmates admired me and my parents and teachers were proud of me. I am not a shy girl any longer. Thank all the people for what they have done for me.I always tell my parents and friends my Talenty life. I think it is useful and interesting. Here I make a lot of friends. The class is full of funny things.In Talenty I have learnt a lot not only the knowledge but also how to make friends with others.I know how to make a sandwich, a pizza and a model house and I know what air and water is. I remembered we talked our school life, the usage of the fire, how and why we should protect animals, what kind of flat we want to need, the wonderful water world, what we will be in fifteen years’ time and what our bodies need. I think learning English is very useful. I learn many ways on how to learn English from my teachers. Here are some. I want to share with you.
1 Study and practice is “a little, every day”.
2 Every day, you must listen a little, study a little grammar, review a little vocabulary, read a little, and practice speaking.
3 If you have an oral English class, use it. Don’t speak Chinese here for any reason. Don’t waste any chances to learn English.
4 Remember also that you learn best if you are enjoying learning, if you feel tired, or if you haven’t slept well, take a break: go for a walk, or do what you like to do.
5 And finally, all you have to do is try.This is my story of learning English. Everybody please enjoy learning English. Enjoy the life in Talenty.
