Can you imagine how late l went to bed last night?It was not until 1a.m._____i finished my home work.
答案给的是that.但也有when这个选项.我想问一下能不能看成it was not until when i finished my homework that i went to bed的省略?
以前遇见这种题

--- It was in the hotel where we stayed.
为什么没有人明白我的意思呢！我很清楚定语从句和强调句的区别，这两句话绝对是正确的
It was in the hotel where we stayed that i met him.
It was not until 1 a.m when I finished my homework that I went to bed.
第一题的回答只是省略的that I met him 而已。我的意思就是第二句也把that i went to bed 省了，所以这时when

张道真的语法书里面,P479 6）有些否定句也可改成这种强调句：
it was not until last summer that i heard from her.
你改写成的那个句子也是强调句,但是一般强调句只是对句子的某一成分加以强调,你那样强调就强调了几乎一整个句子,根本就没有起到强调句所要表达的,或者要起到的作用!因此,that 比when 要好的多的多!而且强调句中很少有省略that 的,只是口语中有些会省略!综上,选that!
