ut前加逗号（这题很奇怪,两个独立句子有自己的主谓but前是肯定要逗号的,但是but前后的句子又都是that从句.不知道这个怎么套了=.=）
carefully和studied位置互换（非要改的话、、、）
their→his（everyone复合不定代词看作三单）
as to→as for（句意来说更合理,此题不确定）
losing→lost（过去分词表谓动was之前已“丢失”）
at his home或in his house（前者更贴切一点,home不一定是house）
is→was（said后从句时态必须在过去背景下）
后面understand时态没有错误,是虚拟语气省略should,后+动原的用法
非要改就把are→is,但是个人认为不改也没问题.如果是A series of...那就必须用单的
