中国有句老话：“活到老学到老！”任何人要想有所成就，就必须懂得“学无止境”的道理。
“学无止境”还有个传说，故事的主角是年轻的苏东坡。少年成名的苏东坡曾洋洋自得地写了一幅对联：“读遍天下书，识遍天下字”。这件事被观音菩萨知道了，菩萨变成个老者，拿着厚厚的一本书向苏东坡请教，而苏东坡居然一个字也不认识。苏东坡不愧是个极顶聪明的人，忙把对联改为：“发奋读遍天下书，立志识遍天下字”。苏东坡把这个对联作为一身努力的目标，终成一代名家。
从古到今，许多伟大的科学家在科学的道路上孜孜以求、不断探索，当取得一些成就后，不是沾沾自喜，而是再接再厉，继续努力。钱学森是世界知名的大科学家，在原子物理学方面有着很深的造诣，他有一个习惯，每天早上坚持收听中央人民广播电台的科学知识讲座。很多人不解地发出这样的疑问“大科学家还需听科学讲座吗？”正是钱学森有着这种“学无止境”的精神，才能取得举世瞩目的辉煌成就。
知识是宇宙，是永远学不完的；学习是射线，是没有尽头的。学无止境！
