Etot=nhf(f is frequecy,h is planck constant.)
f=c/λ (c is the speed of the light and λ is wavelenth)
so Etot=nhc/λ
As the question told
E1=E2
hence
n1*hc/λ1=n2*hc/λ2
as h*c is constant
cancel out we get
n1/λ1=n2/λ2
rearrange
n1/n2=λ1/λ2
