自从梵高的价值被放大以后,艺术作为一个独立个体的独特价值被充分肯定.艺术不再仅仅是技术和工艺,更多的是技术背后的思想、观念和艺术精神,中国的徐渭从此在美术史框架中璀璨夺目.当我第一次较全面地看了黄勇的纸本作品后,首先欣赏他这批作品艺术语言的精微表达,更钦佩他对艺术生命般的追求,这才是他艺术的核心价值.因他个人健康问题,身体尚在恢复期,虽然画不了大画,可他几乎每天不离画笔,画画真正成为了一种生命方式的表达,真诚、真实,这才是艺术的本质,正是这样的精神感动了我.
此次展出的主要是他近期的纸本作品,一方面他寄物移情,对社会异化的精神独白和批判；另一方面,他对绘画性的不断探索和研究,发展出极其成熟的个人化的语言特色,以及对艺术语言的深度理解和表达到了相当的高度.自古以来,“随类赋彩,笔墨传神”是中国艺术最基本的价值判定标准,黄勇的纸本作品可谓神采兼具,别具一格.
虽然人们受困于贪婪,杀戮,恐惧,痛苦,疾病,欲望,但是潘多拉的盒子里还有第七个儿子叫希望,所以说上帝是公平的,人们没有退缩,因为他们还有希望!所以《异象》将超越自然,在神的启示下,获得生命和艺术的真谛,这也是黄勇个展真正带给我们的精神财富.
