用完成时写一篇作文,weenkend

It was a nice weekend.With radiant sunshine and gentle breeze out there,I felt like going somewhere to feel the touch of incoming spring.Having been confined in this small town for long,I need to escape from the heavy snow and channel in some warm air to energize myself.
I called my friends,happily to find that they were thinking the same thought.So after a small discussion,we decided to drive to a nearby city for shopping,something that girls will never grow tired of doing.I used to make a list before shopping,thinking this would be helpful to curb my desire of buying things on sale but things that I don’t need.I was even heroically dreaming that this might rescue the reputation of women---at least me---who are often accused by male counterparts of not shopping wise.But finding to my dismay that I still ended up with buying more things than the list includes,I simply gave up the futile efforts.Being an impulse buyer is both good and bad.Free from the restraint of fulfilling a pre-made task,I can just roam about,wondering from this store to that outlet.I find it quite pleasing whenever some items catch my eyeballs.And the joy of reaping something unexpected is usually more powerful than the pleasure brought by the predictable rewards.The bad thing though is that I often forget to balance my budget when I feel tempted to own this sweater or that jacket.Since I came here,I have formed the habit of using cards instead of cash.Swiping cards is different from taking cash out of your purse and give it to others.The irritation of spending money is somewhat alleviated when you just swipe the card and touch no bills.Well,in the final analysis it actually boils down to the same thing.The only difference is that by cash you pay now and here,by cards you avoid the experience of loss to a larger degree.I guess this kind of thought is self-deceiving,but it feels good.
On our way back to the town,we got a flat tire.When realizing the trouble,we were simply at a loss.None of us is a mechanics person.Stopping on the side of highway at ten o’clock in the evening was sure not something that we felt comfortable about.And the prospect of waiting in the car for two hours for the company we contacted to get us was not a scenario that we even would like to give a thought to.We were shivering in the cold,out of fear when somebody stopped and came to our rescue.They were a couple from South Carolina coming here for a vacation.The wife saw we were stranded and asked her husband to stop and help,for which we felt deeply grateful.It just took the husband ten to fifteen minutes to change the spare tire.To us this short time meant more than having the car fixed.It restored our sense of security and highlighted the helping nature of American as well.
Strangely,I find it hard to get as close to Americans as I can with my fellow Chinese.Americans maintain a larger distance even between good friends.But on the other hand,Americans are more ready to help strangers.

On Saturday morning,I am going to the bookstore.I’m going to buy some story-books and a Chinese-English and English-Chinese dictionary.I like reading story-books.I find them very interesting.Then I am going home.My home is near the bookstore.So I am going by bike.I like riding my bike.In the evening,I am going to play piano.Playing piano is my hobby.
On Sunday morning,I am going to do my homework.Now I am in Grade Six.I want to enter a good middle school next year.So I must study hard.In the afternoon,I am going shopping with my parents and my little brother.My mom says she is going to buy a pair of sneakers for me.I love going shopping.I think all of the girls like going shopping.Am I right.
