一个句子不能用动词来完成.你这个句子的最后一个词是：imitiate,一个动词.
动词后面要加名词.那些作家都想模仿什么呢?想模仿故事的情节.所以英语里就要这么说.

情节也可以用 plot 来代表,不过因为句子前面用了这个词,我就换了个词来表达 "情节".
