John was starting the fourth grade in September.He felt that he was old enough to ride a bike to school.But there were two problems.First,he didn’t know if his parents let him ride a bike to school.Second,he didn’t have a bike.
John starter to get over his problem.He asked his parents,to his surprise,they agreed.They said,“Sure,John,you are old enough.But you don’t have a bike!”Then John thought about how to solve the second problem.At last he came up with an idea.All the neighbors needed to mow(割)their lawns,so he asked them,“Can I mow your lawns to make some money?I want to buy a new bike for myself.”“Of course,but do your parents agree?”
John’s parents were pleased that he found a way to buy a bike himself.They agreed and taught John how to mow the lawn.
