Protecting the Forests and the Animals
Now in some places of our country,a number of people have been cutting down the trees in the forests because they need wood and more farmland.The areas of forests are getting smaller and smaller.Some scientists say that there will be no vast forests in 20 or 30 years.It is really a terrible thing.Where the forests disappear,dust storms will occur occasionally.The weather will get hot and dry.The whole earth will become a big desert.A lot of plants and animals will disappear.Crops will not grow anywhere.Life will be difficult for everyone.The human beings will be punished for their forest-destroying activities.Therefore,we should realize the importance of taking care of our forests.We should do our best to protect our living environment and keep our mountains green,the water clean,and the sky blue.

It is very important to deal with the rubbish in cities.For one thing,rubbish may cause a lot of pollution.It may pollute the air,the water and the places we live in.For another,it may do harm to people's health.
So in our city,rubbish is well dealt with.First,it is sorted.Then old newspapers and glass are recycled.The harmful wastes are buried and the waste water is cleaned before it goes into the river.The government has already made laws against pollution caused by rubbish.
But that's not enough.We must all try our.best to prevent rubbish from polluting the environment so as to.save our city and our living place.

The population of the earth is increasing very fast.Humans must make the earth support the increasing population.This has made it necessary for agriculture and industry to develop rapidly.Such a rapid development produces more and more waste,which goes into the water,the soil and the air.Some of it is made harmless.However,where there is too much of it,the poisonous waste may do great harm to the things around the people.
When farmers add fertilizer to the soil to make plants grow better,or use poison to kill pests,poison is sent into the air,the water and the soil.When birds,fish and people eat the grain,drink the water or breath the air,harm will be done to their health.
The air in big cities is often made very dirty by cars and factories.Millions of tons of waste and poisonous gases are sent into the air with the smoke.In some places,little is done to make the smoke clean before it goes into the air.
Fortunately,people are beginning to realize just how serious the whole situation is.In many countries,laws have been made to stop factories from sending out poisonous gases.
Saving the Earth
Our environment is getting worse and worse becasue some people pay less attention to the invironment protection.Many trees were cut down,rubbish was thrown carelessly,waste water and gas were discharged without taking any measurement.All these contribute to dirty water in the river,more deserted land,worse quality of air.What's worse is the global warming weather.
Actions must be taken to save our earth.Firstly,more related laws must be made regarding invironment protection.All levels of government must check and punish those companies that fail to obey the laws.Secondly,we,as studetns should not litter.We should also tell people around us why we must take action to protect our earth.
Only when more and more people realize the importance can we protect our earth better.
