英语 关于定语从句的一些不清楚的题
有三个题我有点不明白,可以帮我分析一下吗
1.Stephen hawking believes that the earth is unlikely to be the only planet ( ) life has developed gradually.
A.what B.where C.which D.that
我的问题是：为什么用where 作状语,而不直接用whose为所有格 Stephen hawking believes that the earth is unlikely to be the only planet whose life has developed gradually.好像比Stephen hawking believes that the earth is unlikely to be the only planet where life has developed gradually.更通顺
2.That tree,( ) the branches are almost bare,is very old.
A.whose B.of which C.in which Don which
我的问题是：请帮我分析下这个句子的句子结构 ,我觉得直接还是用whose就好了,但是要用of which,这是为什么呢?
3.Is this factory（ ） you visited last month?
A.that B.where C.in which D.the one
我的问题是：我查了一下字典,visit可以是及物动词也可以是不及物动词,那么如果visit用作不及物就可以直接用where作状语,但是答案上给了一个the one,我想了一下其实正常的用作及物应该是Is this factory which/that you visited last month?
但是为什么要用the one而不直接用where哪?
【1】这个句子的先行词是planet,不是说行星的生命 除非句子改成 the only life （问过老师 再被本人理解一下得出的答案 谢你哦）再者 关系代词后面是完整句子——即主谓宾或主谓全了 就用when where
【2】同上面一样 有个the 还加whose?
【3】对啊 把这个疑问句变为陈述句就会发现从句少了宾语 看我的 我把这个句子补一下
.Is this factory the one（ that ） you visited last month ok?
