to do VS -ing form

今天去老师那里上课的时候，讲到一个language point：be beginning to do 老师说如果前面v.用到ing，则后面用to do。 我还想了解一下子更多只能用ing不能用to do 和 只能用to do不用ing的具体情况。 e.g.allow/permit/advise/forbid+doing 有sb.见解宾语时+to do…… 老师要帮帮咯~~

解题思路： 接动名词或者不定式作宾语的单词
解题过程：
动词不定式和动名词都可以用在某些动词(词组)之后作宾语(或状语)，但有时意义差别很大。 　　1．remember
　　remember to do something 记住(要)做某事(动作未发生)
　　remember doing something 记得做过某事(动作已发生)
　　(1) You must remember to tell him all that．你一定要记着告诉他一切。
　　(2) Can’t you remember telling me the story last night? 你难道不记得昨天晚上跟我讲了这件事了吗?
　　2．forget
　　forget to do something 忘记(要)做某事(动作未发生)
　　forget doing something 已做过某事但忘记了
　　(1) Don’t forget to post my letter．别忘了把我的信发出去。(信尚未发出)
　　(2) I forgot posting your letter．我忘记了已经发了你的信。(信已发出，但已忘记此事)
　　3．regret
　　regret to do something 对要做的某事感到遗憾(动作未发生)
　　regret doing something 对做过的事感到后悔
　　(1) He regretted being unable to give us some help．他因不能帮助我们而感到懊悔。
　　(2) I regret to say that I can’t attend your party．很抱歉，我不能参加你们的晚会。
　　4．try
　　try to do something 尽力／设法做某事
　　try doing something 试着(尝试)做某事
　　(1) Try to solve the problem．设法解决这个问题。
　　(2) Try using another way．试用另一种方法吧。
　　5．mean
　　mean to do something 打算做某事
　　mean doing something 意味着(发生)某事(多用物作主语)
　　(1) I didn’t mean to make you angry．我并不想叫你生气(我并不是成心气你)。
　　(2) Your plan would mean spending hours．你的计划意味着要花费几个小时。
　　6．stop
　　stop to do something 停下来去做某事(不定式为目的状语)
　　stop doing something 停止做某事
　　(1) He stopped to talk with the teacher．他停下来去跟老师谈话。
　　(2) They stopped watching TV at 9：30．他们在九点半就不看电视了。
　　7．go on
　　go on to do something (做完一件事后)接着做另一件事
　　go on doing something 继续做同一件事
　　(1) He went on reading Lesson Ten．他继续读第十课。
　　(2) After reading Lesson Nine，he went on to read Lesson Ten．读完第九课后他继续读第十课。(副词)
　　8．cannot help
　　cannot help (to) do something 不能帮助做某事
　　cannot help doing something 禁不住做某事
　　(1) I couldn’t help(to) finish this matter．我不能帮助完成这件事了。
　　(2) She can’t help smiling．她禁不住笑了。
　　9，be afraid
　　be afraid to do something 不敢做某事
　　be afraid of doing something 害怕某事发生
　　(1) I am afraid to go there．我不敢去那里。
　　(2) I am afraid of making mistakes．我害怕会出错。
　　还有一些动词如：like，love，hate，prefer，learn，begin，start，continue等，在一般情况下，接动名词或不定式作宾语无实质性差别
