The other day, we held a discussion about whether it is good for students of different levels to become desk mates. Some are for it. Because everyone has his/her own advantages and disadvantages. We can learn from each other and improve altogether. In addition, those classmates in need can get timely help and those that help others will also get improved likewise. Others are against the idea because they think that the classmates with less competitive edges will feel looked down upon. And those who help others will spend a lot of time on that instead of the original studies. Last but not least, the classmates might affect each other in a negative way.
