What 改为How,因为是修饰后句的people look and dresses
去掉定冠词The 因为前面已经有Their,且这三个形容词要保持一致
应将名词改为动词Settled.
去掉IT,因为后句是个强调句,it was that...主语是instrument,that后面的都是修饰这个的,所以这个it指示代词多余.
