抛光是道细活,一般硬度的玉器,比如和田玉都要用不同型号的油石.沿一边起一点点细细打磨.从粗到细不同型号的油石要磨多遍,且要磨均.反正从粗到细最少要三种油石来做打磨.油石打磨透后,基本上是看不到刀痕与工具痕和擦伤的.然后上机用牛皮或是纯棉的布轮抛光,牛皮抛强光,布轮抛柔光.这样玉石的效果就会很好,才可以体现出她的价值.

Jade is a " natural lithic work of art which has ornamental value".The beauty of jade is at its natural miracle,although burnishing damages its natural attributes,which goes against the value of stone-watching of " pursuit of original appearance".Yet it can not be denied that necessary polishing can increase the appreciation and the artistic quality.We are discussing to make it more excited to watch through simple processing,which is different from deliberately fraudulent and artificial.
Polishing is a skilled work.The general hardness of jade,such as the Hetian jade will have to use different type of oilstone.It has to be burnished little by little alone one side,from coarse to fine of each type of oilstone for many times and the grinding must be well-distributed.It needs at least three types of oilstone to grind it from coarse to fine.After the process of grinding,the tool marks are almost invisible.Then polish it on the machine with the cow leather or pure cotton cloth,with the former for strong light and the latter for the soft one.By doig this,the good effect of jade can be gained,which will embodies her value.
