| A month ago Mr.Turner was so poor that he couldn't take any food home.It was a cold night when he was on duty.He drank some whisky to warm himself.Soon he fell asleep.Some expensive watches were stolen in the shop that night.And he lost his job for it.He was a soldier when he was young and he could do nothing except keeping the gates.The people in the small town knew him well and nobody would employ (雇) a man like him.His family got into trouble.
