What’s more important? Style or substance? When it comes this question, people’s attitudes toward it are different from person to person. But in my point of view , substance really do count more. Comparing with substance, people prefer style in today’s society. There is no doubt that style can attract people’s eyes. People can get easy assess to learning someone or something by style. First impressions really do count. This is the reason why beautiful actors and actresses are more popular. But what’s more important? Recently, Yao Beina, a popular beautiful young singer died because of cancer. Towards her death , People pay much attention. No one didn’t feel sad deeply. Her death became the first news in newspapers. Five days before ,Li Xiaowen, an old great expert in remote sense died. But people pay little attention to it, less than Yao Beina. Although he isn’t in style, he contributed his life to science and motherland. Don’t people see this? It’s time to change. Substance really does count. The reasons can be listed as follows. First, the beauty which substance brings can last for a long time. For example ,a song, just like The Amazing Grace, has been being well-known for a very long time, because of its substance. The song is a great story. Second, substance is more beneficial for society. Just like Lin Shenhao, a talent cool knowledgeable student, having excellent style, had a ugly substance. As he was Handsome, he was being criticized by other people. Instead, Chen xianmei, a poor ugly old woman, having a heat heart, saved an injured girl. Wu Juping, a common woman, don’t have good style, but people takes pride in her act of catching a downfallen baby. She was named “the most beautiful mother” by Chinese. Last but not least, substance can be tested by anything. As an old saying goes,” Time reveals a man's heart” Another, a beautiful but not having substance woman is easy to be infidelity. If she has substance, that won’t the case. In short ,substance is the better than style in life.
