第一个句子,A和D选项把句子主干挑出来都是：The Pacific Northwest caused mostly by lighting.显然是不对的,无法构成逻辑关系.而且从句意上看,不是The Pacific Northwest由于雷电引起,而是指wildfires由于雷电引起.因此,用most (of the wildfires) are caused by ...就是正确的.再者,两个完整句子之间用分号“；”来连接是可以的,因此B是正确答案.
第二题,such as 后面应加上名词或V-ing.如果把finding看成名词的话,至少要说成the finding of ...,因此这儿的finding只能是v-ing形式,故C是正确的.
