广告英语须简洁、形象、富于感染力.因此恰当、准确的选词对广告的效力有着不可忽视的作用.
(1)简明易懂,通俗易记
广告文字必须具备通俗易懂的特性,多用大众化的口语词汇,少用或不用晦涩、深奥的词语,使消费者看得明白,说得清楚.如,Nike,just do it.(耐克,想做就做).再如,Scots Whisky Uncommonly smooth.(苏格兰威士忌口感滋润非同凡响).
