No one knows for sure when a fire will happen, so , it is extremely necessary for us to know what to do when we are already in a fire. First and the most important, KEEP CALM, make your head clear and make a correct decision. Second, estimate the situation. If the fire is just beginning, you think you can put it out all by yourself, then do not hesitate, take the fire extinguisher and make yourself a fire hero. If the fire is very heavy and you cannot extinguish it ,then pull the fire alarm or call the fire department and get out as soon as possible. Remember to alert people around, your shout may save people's lives. There are some important point when trying to get out of a fire. 1) Keep your body down to the floor, and if possible cover a wet towel or wet cloth on your mouth. Because the smoke is the most dangerous killer in a fire; it contains some poisonous gas which is fatal to human beings. 2) Do not use the elevator. Because the electricity may fail in any minute, and we may be trapped in the elevator. Last but not least, if you cannot get out of the building by yourself, you should hand something out of the window to attract attentions as a sign of asking for help. Maybe some white cloth or something else.
