英语中由and连成的搭配很多,有名词、形容词和副词等,其意义有的与字面含义相同,如：in and out,意为“进出”,有的则并非如此,如：high and dry意为“孤立无援”.所以,遇到后面的这种情况,切莫望文生义.
一、与字面含义相同或基本相同
1．far and wide四面八方,到处
