THIS summer vacation,I went to England for three weeks.I had a wonderful time there.The British people are friendly.The traffic is perfect.The museums are interesting.And the food ...is okay,except for the English breakfast.
On my first day in England,my host grandma prepared a big breakfast.We had milk,orange juice and bread.It was a big,delicious meal,but all the drinks were ice-cold.When I asked my host grandma for some water,she turned on the tap and got me a glass of cold tap water.
In China,I often have hot noodle soup,hot porridge or hot milk for my breakfast.Having cold drinks is like eating an ice cream in the morning.My
stomach just couldn't get used to it .I heard it rumbling as I was riding the bus to school after the meal.
What should i do?A hot drink would save me .So when I saw a MacDonald's,I quickly got off the bus.
After a cup of hot chocolate,my stomach warmed up and I felt much
better.
Since then,every morning.I drank a cup of hot chocolate after the cold
breakfast,and my stomach never bothered me again!
